MINUTES OF POWER FROM THE PAST BOARD MEETING The June 12, 2017 meeting was held at Peace in the Valley Lutheran Church, 551 S. J Six Ranch Road, Benson. The May minutes and Treasurer’s report were read then approved by the Board. The Care Report shared that Jim White is recovering from neck surgery, Christine Eppley will be seeing a cardiologist and Liz Amatulli has an intestinal virus. Also note that Clair St. Clair and Tony Lawhead anticipate medical procedures. The new Board members are as follows: Jim White – President, Lyle Rasmussen - Vice President, Mel Perkins – Safety, Seth Hoyte - Tractor Chairperson, Virgil Schmidt, Ruth Seinkbel – Treasurer, and Karen Reid – Secretary Lance Amatulli will be Engine Chairperson and Candi Eppley has agreed to continue on as Social Chairperson. The Skinner and the horse drawn equipment have been successfully removed from the Pima County Fairgrounds. The Tucson Rodeo Museum, heir to the horse drawn equipment invites us to tour the museum. The storage space for other club inventory has been secured. The quest for trailers for the Western Engine and the announcer’s booth are ongoing. Parking and other details were discussed regarding the Benson Fourth of July Parade and Helldorado. Members are invited to Bucky and Tara Stevens home after the parade for a potluck picnic. Tombstone will not be providing the meat for the Helldorado BBQ on Saturday. EDGTA requires that club members be more prompt to pay insurance fees each year. Ruth Seinkbel proposed that our rent to Peace in the Valley Lutheran Church (for use of their building) be increased from $300 per year to $600 per year. It was unanimous to increase the rent.
